Alice Goldin (1922-2016)

Born in Vienna Austria, Goldin moved to South Africa in in 1948. She began her studies at the Pretoria Technical college under Robert Hodgins, from 1955-1960. Thereafter she returned to Europe, first to study in Rome and from there to the Camden Institute in London. A painter and graphic artist, Goldin became well known for her landscapes, specifically of the Cape. Her extensive career saw her participate in numerous group and solo exhibitions and her works can be found in many institutional, corporate and private collections
