André Naudé (1950-2023) was a South African artist born in Pretoria. He earned both his BA and MA in Fine Arts from the University of Pretoria and taught art at various institutions, including the University of Pretoria and UNISA. Naudé’s work, which he pursued full-time from 2001, is known for its colourful, playful, and often darkly humorous style. His paintings frequently addressed environmental issues and absurd social conditions. His art is featured in numerous public and corporate collections both in South Africa and internationally. Naudé participated in dozens of solo and group exhibitions throughout his career.
