Heidi HerzogCollection

Heidi Herzog was a South African painter who was born in 1905 in Basel, Switzerland. She studied chemistry and painting in Europe, and exhibited her work in France and Italy before moving to South Africa in 1951. She specialized in oil paintings and pastels, depicting still lifes, landscapes, and portraits in a vibrant and expressive style. She was influenced by the old masters, such as Rembrandt and Velasquez, as well as by modern artists, such as Dunoyer de Segonzac and Matisse.
