Jan Dingemans (1921-2001)
An iconic South African artist, Dingemans is known for his delightful and full coloured still lives as well as his formulaic African figures. Born in Breda, Netherlands, he moved to South Africa as a young man. A diverse artist, he also produced some very atmospheric abstract oils and watercolours.
