aul Wunderlich was a German painter, sculptor, and graphic artist who is best known for his erotic, Surrealist-inspired paintings, prints, and sculptures featuring mythological imagery. He was born in Eberswalde, Germany in 1927 and died in Saint-Pierre-de-Vassols, France in 2010.

Wunderlich’s early work was influenced by the Expressionist movement, but he later turned to Surrealism and Magic Realism. His paintings often feature female nudes in dreamlike or surreal settings. He also created a number of sculptures, including bronze busts and figurines.

Wunderlich’s work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world.
