Pieter Van Der Westhuizen (1931-2008)

One of South Africa’s most prolific and iconic artists, Pieter had much training and influence from the likes of Alfred Krenz, Leo Theron, Zakkie Eloff and later Erik Laubscher and Robert Hodgins.

He lived and worked internationally as well, with a formidable highlight including exhibiting with Marc Chagall and Yaacov Agam.

Prolific in many mediums, it is his pastels and prints that represent the bulk of his work. From pastoral landscapes to plump ladies, his works adorn walls all over the world, with a significant following.
